Bio
Judy-Ann Moule recently completed a Doctor of Fine Arts Degree at The National Art School, Sydney. Her practice-based research embodies the convergence of vulnerability and violence as a visual language of repair – through an integrated process of making, of materials and ideas as a reparative aesthetic. Using bodily materials and gesture, across mediums of installation, performance and sound she means to provoke. In her recent exhibition just enough, the performance remains – the continuous line of hair that encircles the gallery space, at crutch height – remains only as a trace or scar but once seen it is hard to forget.
Moule has exhibited nationally and internationally.
Most recently solo exhibitions ’just enough’, Hoff Gallery, National Art school and ‘heaviness of distance’, ArticulateUpstairs, Leichhardt, Sydney and collaborative performance work aka I am knitting, and uncompleted gestures weigh heavily, Articulate Project Space, Sydney and a solo exhibition at Factory 49, Sydney.

As well as collaborative work with the international group ‘What’s Your location?’ at Bigscreen Southend, London, Brazil Bookfair and Contemporary Art Platform, Kuwait.
Previous exhibitions include Platform for Emerging Arts #8, Leyden Gallery, East London, Per | Form, CAP Kuwait, Culor from East & West MOMA Kuwait; Derive, Queensland College of Art, Brisbane, Australia; ROADTRIP 2013, Lockup Cultural Centre Newcastle, Australia; Metro Arts Gallery, Brisbane; ‘The Block’ Gallery Brisbane; West Wall Gallery Iceland; Sunshine Coast University Gallery; QUT Art Museum as well as artist-run initiatives – Busy Brick and Soylent Spot ARI’s Level (QLD), Inbetweenspaces (Fortitude Valley).
